Summary
Antivirus software may not always uninstall correctly when using the Add or Remove Programs control panel. To completely remove the antivirus software from your system, you may need to run additional removal tools. Select the removal tool that corresponds to your antivirus software to manually remove it from your system.
Norton Removal Tool
If you currently have Norton or Symantec antivirus software installed, and the removal instructions on the previous page do not work, you will need to run the Norton Removal Tool to complete the uninstallation.
McAfee Consumer Products Removal Tool
If you have have unsupported McAfee VirusScan software installed (software that wasn't provided by Kent State University), and the removal instructions on the previous page do not work, you will need to run the McAfee Consumer Products Removal Tool.
