The Allerton Student Family housing complex is designed to provide comfortable and affordable living accommodations to upper-class students, and students with families while pursuing a degree at Kent State. The on-campus Allerton complex consists of 162 two-bedroom, and five one-bedroom garden-style apartments situated on pleasant, and spacious well-manicured grounds. The Allerton community is composed of a diverse population thus creating a rich living and learning environment. International students from around the world account for approximately 33 percent of the families who reside at Allerton. In addition, you will also find a mixture of family arrangements, age groups, traditions, religions and interests.

The Allerton management, in conjunction with the Department of Residence Services, strives to provide residents with a positive academic and social environment through a series of educational, cultural, social and recreational activities as well as other community services that are offered on an on going basis. Allerton apartments are offered and assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. Applicants are placed on the waiting list based on the date the completed application is received in the Allerton office. Therefore, it is important that you mail, drop off or fax the completed application promptly.
