Residential Communities:
Bridges to Student Success
Resident Assistants (RAs) are undergraduate or graduate student leaders who live in the residence halls and act as a resource for the residents on their floor or wing and throughout their hall. The unique communities RAs create are conducive to personal, social, and academic growth for their residents (and themselves). Resident Assistants develop strong programming skills through their efforts to educate and challenge their residents in the areas of diversity, health, safety and career development. As an RA a student can expect an experience which will compliment and enhance their academic career at Kent State.
The skills gained by our staff members are highly applicable to any future job endeavor! This site will provide you with the descriptions of, and resources for, the many aspects of the RA position.
We are confident that the RA position is the most unique, beneficial, and challenging student position to experience during your college years. We assure that the RA position will provide valuable job experience and leadership for any career field a student chooses to pursue.
